The documentary that I chose to watch was of Asma Khan, an Indian now based in London, focusing on her journey of becoming a celebrated chef from practically no one. Her becoming a chef was not by chance, but rather by choice; a choice to be someone of whom her family would be proud. She started with home supper clubs and pub kitchen, but her dedication to being different, vision for empowering herself and her team of other South Asian women, and the stubbornness to prove that second daughters are worthy of everything, changed it all.
